OUR STORY
Phoenix Nation started in the Summer of 2016. A husband and wife team Darin and Winter had a vision; fitness should be accessible to everybody. It should be fun, engaging, and something you look forward to daily.
With a belief in the transformative power of learning new skills to elevate your training experience and a passion for movement, the exploration of bodyweight skill training began. With no prior gymnastics background, the challenge has kept them to this day to continue turning up and trying to get that little bit better. You would be surprised at how much carry-over learning a new skill like Jump Rope or how to do a Handstand has to do other areas of your life.
Creating a YouTube channel was the perfect platform to continue their journey, offering FREE content available to everybody. Helping people get in shape, move, and, most importantly, feel better is what drives their motivation to inspire others. The slow way is a fast way.

MY FIRST EVER YOUTUBE VIDEO
This was the first ever video I uploaded on Youtube. Dec 17, 2016. It has 3,067,687 views. I have just turned 40 and have been jumping for about a year.

CHILDHOOD DREAMS
I always wanted to be on Aerobics Oz Style growing up. I know this shows how old I am. I didn’t make it on the show as it only had 1 season but I feel like what I do is pretty close. So never give up on those dreams.

BODYWEIGHT TRAINING
Like Jump Rope we both love chasing after bodyweight skills like Handstands and Muscle-Ups. We didn’t start this type of training until our late 30’s also.

WE LOVE TO JUMP
It has to be the most fun and interesting way of staying in shape. As Kris Kross would say Daddy Mac will make you Jump Jump. Ok, I am showing my age again.

I OWN A BOAT
I wish. Maybe all childhood dreams don’t come true but someone called Phoenix owns this bad boy. And if I sell enough jump ropes who knows.

FUR BABIES
We own two beautiful Shiba Inus. They have starring roles in a few of my Instagram videos. Storm also loves Jump Ropes to chew on. Lucky those plastic beads are nearly indestructible.
